Responsibilities
- Design and discuss solutions for user stories and technical tasks.
- Lead the technical team and mentor junior resources while remaining hands-on.
- Develop, unit-test, integrate, deploy, maintain, and improve scalable software applications.
- Identify legacy software components and provide technical upgrade solutions.
- Perform peer code reviews and manage individual task priorities and deliverables.
- Create and maintain automated continuous-integration build processes and deployment scripts.
- Apply continuous-integration practices including source-control management, build automation, unit testing, and dependency management.
- Participate in Agile sprint activities, ceremonies, planning, and continuous-improvement work.
- Collaborate with team members and support the Product Owner, ITAO, developers, and Scrum Master.
- Ensure the quality, maintainability, scalability, and performance of delivered solutions.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of solution design and lead development experience with PySpark and the GCP platform.
- Hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, BigQuery, Dataproc, Composer, Terraform, GKE, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Functions.
- Experience setting up, maintaining, and developing continuous build and integration infrastructure as part of DevOps.
- Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Git, TeamCity, Maven, and Sonar.
- Practical knowledge of software design patterns and core SDLC processes and tools.
- Knowledge of APIs, microservices, and integration of internal and external web services using SOAP, XML, REST, and JSON.
- Experience or knowledge with HP ALM, Jira, and ServiceNow.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and independent working skills, including the ability to work in virtual and matrixed teams.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Basic knowledge of Unix, Java, and SAS is desirable; Mainframe, German language skills, data warehouse management, and banking regulation knowledge are additional advantages.
- Ability to use AI tools productively while applying critical judgment for responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
