Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver native Android software products and components across design, development, deployment, and automated testing.
- Translate business needs into technical implementations aligned with ISA architectural principles.
- Integrate APIs, implement offline-first data and local persistence, support background work and push notifications, and maintain production applications.
- Build and maintain automated unit, instrumentation, UI, and end-to-end testing.
- Manage mobile CI/CD, automated builds and tests, and Google Play releases.
- Review technical specifications, architectural designs, documentation, user guides, training manuals, and system specifications.
- Identify and adopt appropriate technical tools, languages, emerging technologies, and software engineering best practices.
- Diagnose and address performance, reliability, and security issues across the stack.
- Collaborate with product, project management, IT, operations, governance, and enterprise development teams.
- Share knowledge, provide technical feedback, report status, and contribute to squad KPI delivery and service levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with a strong record of native Android delivery and ownership of production apps.
- Expert proficiency in Kotlin, Java where required, the Android SDK, and Jetpack, including Compose, coroutines, and architecture components.
- Strong experience integrating REST and GraphQL APIs, implementing offline-first data, using Room or SQLite for local persistence, and handling background work and push notifications.
- Hands-on experience with mobile CI/CD, automated build and test processes, and Google Play release management.
- Strong grounding in unit, instrumentation, UI, and end-to-end testing.
- Working knowledge of mobile observability and crash reporting, including Firebase Crashlytics, Datadog, or equivalent.
- Ability to diagnose performance, reliability, and security issues across the stack.
- Good understanding of secure coding and OWASP Mobile practices.
- Fluent English language skills and strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, ownership, and delivery skills.
- Travel, airline, or transactional/e-commerce platform experience is preferred.
