
Senior Actuarial Test Engineer
Northwestern MutualResponsibilities
- Develop a broad and detailed understanding of the insurance-illustration application and how its algorithm integrates with related software.
- Complete actuarial training and learn the organization’s product and client interface standards.
- Exhaustively test portions of the proprietary algorithm and provide useful feedback and questions.
- Analyze new algorithm features or modifications and create and execute testing plans.
- Learn and apply software test engineering practices and software development processes, including preparation for the ISTQB Foundation Level exam.
Requirements
- Actuarial background.
- Technical curiosity and willingness to learn new technology and software testing practices.
- Ability to work quickly, take ownership of goals, and make progress with limited assistance.
- 6–8 years of employment experience is stated.
- Bachelor’s degree is desired.
