Responsibilities
- Triage and validate incoming security vulnerability submissions for managed bug bounty programs.
- Assess findings for validity, accuracy, and severity.
- Communicate with Bugcrowd clients and security researchers when additional information is needed.
- Escalate and communicate high-severity vulnerabilities as part of incident response.
- Apply OWASP Top Ten and application security knowledge to security assessments.
- Assist with designing or developing tooling to improve the triage and validation process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or previous security consulting experience.
- Published and demonstrated passion for security assessment research.
- High proficiency with Burp Suite or another interception proxy.
- Working-level experience with nmap, sqlmap, and other industry-standard tools included in Kali Linux.
- Strong scripting or development skills in at least one language.
- Ability to execute individual projects while contributing to a team and completing tasks on time.
- Strong organization, influencing, and communication skills.
