Responsibilities
- Design and develop components of a new AI-enabled technology capability.
- Build high-quality, production-ready software and remain hands-on with code.
- Contribute to technical architecture, system design, and engineering decisions.
- Develop solutions using Large Language Models and Retrieval-Augmented Generation.
- Experiment with technologies and approaches and turn promising ideas into robust solutions.
- Integrate newly developed capabilities with existing Infor technologies and platforms.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers and technical leadership.
- Apply software engineering principles in a fast-moving AI development environment.
- Own technical problems from initial exploration through implementation.
- Help establish engineering practices for a newly formed team.
Requirements
- Significant hands-on software development experience.
- Experience building and delivering production software.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and maintainability.
- Practical experience with or meaningful hands-on exposure to modern AI technologies.
- Familiarity with Large Language Models and Retrieval-Augmented Generation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explore approaches, take ownership, and move work forward without every step being predefined.
- A product engineering mindset and interest in building maintainable, long-term solutions.
- Curiosity and willingness to experiment, learn, and iterate as technologies evolve.
- Experience with Python, JavaScript or TypeScript, AI and Large Language Models, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation is particularly relevant.
- Java or other enterprise software development, systems architecture and integration, product engineering, new product or platform development, and modern cloud-based software architecture experience are valuable.
