Responsibilities
- Implement scalable, secure, and resilient backend solutions using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
- Develop, test, document, and maintain Java/Kotlin software components throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct code reviews, participate in solution design reviews, and contribute to technical standards.
- Identify and resolve complex technical issues affecting system stability and performance.
- Write comprehensive unit tests covering robustness, edge cases, and reliability.
- Use Google Cloud Platform services to build, deploy, and manage scalable software solutions.
- Collaborate with business analysts, quality assurance professionals, and stakeholders to develop effective solutions.
- Provide support for high-quality software releases.
- Collaborate with global and diverse teams in a scaled Agile environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of professional backend software development experience focused on Java/Kotlin systems.
- Deep expertise in Java 17+ and the Spring, Jakarta EE, or Quarkus ecosystem.
- Experience with microservices architecture, Docker containers, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of design patterns, SOLID principles, data structures, and collections.
- Proven experience designing and building scalable backend solutions and APIs.
- Experience with relational databases, advanced SQL, and schema design.
- Knowledge of Terraform or an equivalent infrastructure-as-code tool.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform or another major cloud provider.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and pipelines.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with a cloud platform such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- At least 6 months of experience using Terraform or another alternative infrastructure-as-code tool.
- At least 4 years of backend engineering experience using Java/Kotlin with Spring Boot or Quarkus.
- Knowledge of Agile values, principles, and methods.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and multicultural teamwork skills.
