Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, scalable, secure, and maintainable RESTful APIs.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design and evolve solutions based on microservices architectures.
- Design and optimize SQL queries using relational databases.
- Develop and integrate frontend components with React and TypeScript as a complement to backend solutions.
- Integrate frontend and backend systems through APIs and other integration mechanisms.
- Contribute to technical decisions and feature design with Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams.
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve application incidents while maintaining stability and performance.
- Apply development best practices, design principles, security standards, and maintainability practices.
- Participate in code reviews and improve the team’s engineering practices.
- Research and propose technical improvements and technologies to increase solution efficiency, quality, and scalability.
- Collaborate with developers and multidisciplinary teams using agile methodologies.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software development experience, ideally in strongly backend-oriented roles.
- Solid experience developing applications and microservices with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience designing, developing, and integrating RESTful APIs.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL, including query design and optimization.
- Knowledge of SOLID principles, design patterns, and software development best practices.
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to analyze technical problems, diagnose incidents, and propose robust, maintainable solutions.
- Technical autonomy and ability to participate in design and architecture decisions.
- Basic to intermediate frontend development knowledge and experience with React and TypeScript or equivalent frontend frameworks/libraries.
- Understanding of frontend/backend communication mechanisms, primarily REST.
- Ability to make frontend modifications, integrations, and developments when required.
- Desirable experience with event-oriented architectures or Kafka.
- Desirable knowledge of CI/CD tools and pipelines, Docker, orchestration concepts, AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Desirable experience with unit and integration testing, observability and monitoring tools, microfrontends, or Module Federation.
- Desirable experience with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, pnpm, Cloudflare Pages, responsive interfaces, and Figma layout interpretation.
