Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software supporting Computer Network Operations missions.
- Perform reverse engineering of software, firmware, operating systems, and embedded devices to identify vulnerabilities and understand system behavior.
- Conduct vulnerability research and develop proof-of-concept capabilities supporting operational mission requirements.
- Develop software using Assembly, C, C++, Python, and related programming languages.
- Analyze Windows, Linux, iOS, Android, operating-system internals, network protocols, TCP/IP communications, routing protocols, and RF communications.
- Develop capabilities targeting processor architectures including x86, x64, ARM, MIPS, PPC, and SPARC.
- Use reverse-engineering and debugging tools to analyze complex software systems.
- Research exploit mitigations including DEP and ASLR and develop techniques to evaluate system security.
- Develop embedded software and support hardware analysis using JTAG or BDI interfaces.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate, test, and deploy mission capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and engineering guidance.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph through the customer.
- Bachelor's degree and the required years of experience developing software for Computer Network Operations or related cyber missions.
- Experience programming in Assembly, C, C++, or Python.
- Experience performing reverse engineering and vulnerability research.
- Understanding of Windows, Linux, iOS, Android, or other operating-system internals.
- Experience reading or writing assembly language across architectures such as x86, x64, ARM, PPC, MIPS, or SPARC.
- Experience developing embedded systems.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, RF communications, or related network technologies.
- Experience with reverse-engineering tools such as IDA Pro, Hex-Rays, Ghidra, Binary Ninja, or objdump.
- Experience with debugging tools such as GDB, WinDbg, or OllyDbg.
- Understanding of DEP and ASLR exploit-mitigation technologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical-leadership skills.
- Preferred: experience developing tools to identify, exploit, and operationalize vulnerabilities in complex software systems.
- Preferred: experience with JTAG or BDI hardware debugging interfaces.
- Preferred: modern C++ development experience, including RAII, C++11, and C++14.
- Preferred: Intelligence Community or Department of Defense cyber operations experience.
- Preferred: experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership.
