Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable backend services and game systems using TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB, gRPC, and related technologies.
- Implement game features, platform integrations, and systems based on game design and business requirements.
- Resolve server technical issues and support stable, reliable live-service operations.
- Collaborate with engineers, producers, designers, and publishing partners to deliver game features and operational support.
- Maintain code quality through code reviews, testing, monitoring, bug fixing, and third-party library, SDK, and platform-service integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of software development experience, preferably in the video game industry with live-service experience.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript.
- Experience developing backend systems and game services with modern web technologies, gRPC, and/or RESTful APIs.
- Experience operating and supporting live services in large-scale Kubernetes environments.
- Experience designing and developing scalable distributed systems and backend services.
- Experience shipping at least one commercial video game title; live-service experience is preferred.
- Experience with Redis, MongoDB, microservices architecture, cloud-native technologies, containerized service deployment, and AI-assisted or agentic engineering tools is a plus.
- Korean or English proficiency is preferred but not required.
