Responsibilities
- Lead the technical work of embedded software teams and coach team members.
- Drive software architecture decisions and ensure solutions meet performance, real-time, and robustness requirements.
- Design, develop, test, verify, and debug embedded software in close collaboration with hardware and systems teams.
- Break down system requirements into concrete software architectures and implementable solutions.
- Coordinate deliveries, manage stakeholders, and drive projects from requirements through commissioning when working in the Technical Project Manager profile.
- Collaborate with customers and explain complex hardware-software systems.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role such as Tech Lead, Technical Project Manager, or equivalent, or several years of embedded software development experience.
- Education in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent.
- Strong experience with embedded firmware development in C/C++ for resource-constrained systems.
- Experience working closely with hardware, including MCUs, SoCs, and SPI, I2C, or UART interfaces.
- Experience designing and implementing real-time systems using RTOS or bare-metal approaches.
- Experience with requirements decomposition, software architecture, testing, verification, and laboratory debugging.
- Ability to work across the full development lifecycle from concept to production.
- Fluent spoken and written Swedish and English.
- Knowledge of Embedded Linux, safety-critical systems such as ISO 26262 or IEC 62304, BLE, WiFi, LTE, signal processing, control systems, automated embedded testing, or complex hardware-cloud integration is advantageous.
- The assignment may be security classified and may require a security screening.
