Responsibilities
- Develop backend services and REST APIs.
- Build data-ingestion pipelines from APIs, databases, files, and telemetry systems.
- Design relational schemas and normalized data models.
- Implement data validation, timestamp normalization, duplicate handling, and quality checks.
- Build historical and scheduled data-processing workflows with traceability between source data and processed results.
- Implement authentication, logging, auditability, and error handling.
- Write automated unit and integration tests and collaborate with AI/ML and domain engineering teams.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong Python programming skills and backend application development experience.
- Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
- Strong SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases.
- Experience with ETL and data-processing workflows.
- Understanding of database design, data validation, and time-series data.
- Experience with Git and automated testing.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Preferred qualifications include FastAPI, PostgreSQL, asynchronous Python, background processing, Kafka, NiFi, Prometheus, time-series databases, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, OAuth2/OpenID Connect, OpenAPI, and telecommunications, OSS/NMS, or telemetry systems experience.
