Responsibilities
- Hire and manage first-line managers and a growing team of technical pre-sales Solutions Architects.
- Build a collaborative, customer-obsessed, and inclusive culture within a rapid-growth organization.
- Increase the return on investment of Solutions Architect involvement in sales cycles.
- Develop long-term, trust-based customer relationships and report on account landscapes and strategic trends.
- Promote solution- and value-based selling across the field engineering organization.
- Assess business needs and revenue potential for accounts in the assigned Canadian region.
- Build Databricks’ Canadian brand in partnership with Marketing and Sales.
- Institute processes that improve the efficiency of technical field team members.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of second-line leadership experience as a manager of managers with teams of 20 or more.
- Relevant enterprise software pre-sales success and senior-level experience at a reputable software company, including Canadian regional experience.
- Track record of driving large transactions, high-growth customers, transformational outcomes, and customer value.
- Ability to influence, develop, and empower teams to achieve objectives collaboratively.
- Experience building strong customer ecosystems and cross-functional partnerships with Sales, Engineering, and Marketing.
- Experience with complex strategic accounts generating more than $5M ARR.
- Knowledge of data-driven decision-making, AI, and cloud software models.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
