Responsibilities
- Own the overall QA strategy, test planning, and release-readiness assessment for an assigned product area.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Developers to review requirements and define test coverage.
- Create risk-based test strategies for large features and technical initiatives.
- Lead manual, API, integration, and automation testing across web-based applications.
- Contribute to the design and improvement of test automation frameworks.
- Monitor CI/CD automation results and address product and automation issues.
- Mentor QA team members through reviews and technical feedback.
- Track QA progress, risks, and communicate them to leadership.
- Identify opportunities to improve QA processes and drive adoption of solutions.
- Explore AI-assisted QA workflows for various testing areas.
- Support cross-product initiatives and collaborate with other QA teams.
- Maintain accountability through quality metrics and defect analysis.
Requirements
- Strong experience in software quality assurance, including various testing types.
- Experience leading QA activities for a product or engineering team.
- Understanding of test strategy, risk-based testing, and defect management.
- Practical experience with web and API automation tools like Playwright or Selenium.
- Familiarity with automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to communicate risks and progress clearly.
- Enjoy mentoring team members in testing and automation skills.
- Willingness to learn new product areas and support other teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
