Responsibilities
- Contribute to long-term DevOps programs and core technologies.
- Design, build, and maintain infrastructure tools and utilities that integrate with deployment pipelines and include telemetry and monitoring.
- Deploy and operate medium to large infrastructure components in production using automation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and pipeline issues in live production environments.
- Develop infrastructure architecture patterns, standards, and DevOps best practices.
- Write code and scripts for reliable, maintainable operational tooling.
- Create post-mortems and root cause analyses for infrastructure, pipeline, and automation incidents.
- Support continuous integration improvements, new infrastructure platforms, and automated incident mitigation.
- Embed security and ensure compliance with requirements for disaster recovery, scalability, availability, reliability, and durability.
- Support other engineers and improve software development, delivery, and operational processes.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering role supporting complex, production-grade systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure, including Cosmos DB, Azure Key Vault, networking, monitoring, and identity.
- Experience designing and operating deployment pipelines with integration, automation, and observability.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, automation tools, and scripting or programming for operational tooling.
- Experience troubleshooting infrastructure and pipeline issues in live production environments.
- Understanding of security best practices including secrets management, least-privilege access, and secure system design.
- Experience designing for scalability, availability, disaster recovery, reliability, and durability.
- Ability to write clear documentation, post-mortems, and root cause analyses.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain DevOps concepts to engineers with varying experience levels.
- Ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions, triage and resolve issues, and collaborate on prototypes and proof-of-concepts.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and incident management.
