Base Salary
$157k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain robust APIs and services using Ruby and Java.
- Act as a domain expert in Stripe's payment products and payout methods.
- Build and enhance software infrastructure throughout the development lifecycle.
- Design software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models.
- Contribute to core interface design and write code.
- Scope and lead technical projects for early-stage products.
- Engineer payments integration with banking partners for new markets.
- Work with engineers to build large-scale features.
- Design and implement secure systems for sensitive data storage.
- Evaluate technology and architecture choices for payment products.
- Develop and execute short- and long-term roadmaps.
- Ensure technical decisions align with strategic goals.
- Develop software testing and validation procedures.
- Participate in the 24/7 on-call rota for production incidents.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in Software Development.
- Experience building software solutions in Python, Ruby, Java, and Typescript.
- Experience designing and working with large user-facing APIs.
- Ability to translate business needs into software requirements.
- Experience debugging production issues across services.
- Experience designing and maintaining scalable, high availability systems.
- Experience designing secure systems for sensitive data storage.
