Base Salary
$94k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls across network, infrastructure, data, and application layers.
- Create and support security policies, standards, data protection strategies, and compliance documentation.
- Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments and help remediate identified risks.
- Develop automation tooling for threat detection, response, and reporting.
- Embed security into CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments in collaboration with DevOps and IT teams.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents with SOC and incident response teams.
- Participate in red/blue team exercises, threat modeling, and evaluation of emerging threats.
- Develop security operations playbooks, runbooks, and procedures.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or related roles.
- Current authorization to work in the United States.
- Proficiency in Python or Java for automation, scripting, and tool development.
- Hands-on experience with penetration testing tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, and Nmap.
- Understanding of network security protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, Zero Trust Networking, data security, encryption, DLP, and access controls.
- Experience securing web and mobile applications, APIs, microservices, containerized deployments, and cloud or hybrid infrastructure.
- Knowledge of SOC workflows, SIEM platforms, and incident response.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
- OSCP, CEH, CISSP, or GIAC certifications are preferred.
- Experience with SASE and ZTNA, plus strong analytical, communication, documentation, and collaboration skills, is preferred.
