Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain frontend features, backend services, APIs, and data integrations.
- Implement product requirements and UX designs using established architectural and coding patterns.
- Build reusable, responsive, and accessible user-interface components.
- Develop backend business logic, database interactions, application APIs, and background processes.
- Write clean, understandable, and maintainable code.
- Create and maintain unit, integration, component, and end-to-end tests.
- Participate in technical planning, estimation, refinement, and implementation discussions.
- Identify requirement gaps, technical risks, dependencies, and edge cases during development.
- Troubleshoot defects and production issues with support from senior engineers when necessary.
- Participate actively in pull-request reviews and respond constructively to feedback.
- Maintain technical documentation for the capabilities they build.
- Work with QA to validate acceptance criteria and improve test coverage.
- Collaborate with DevOps to resolve deployment, environment, and operational issues.
- Use logging, monitoring, browser tools, and database queries to diagnose application behavior.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate development, test creation, documentation, and troubleshooting.
- Participate in release validation and production support activities.
Requirements
- Approximately 3 to 6 years of professional software development experience.
- Professional experience building production web applications.
- Proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience with React or another modern component-based frontend framework.
- Understanding of component design, state management, API integration, responsive layouts, and frontend testing.
- Backend development experience using Node.js, Python, Java, C#, or a comparable technology.
- Experience building or consuming REST APIs.
- Experience working with relational databases and writing SQL queries.
- Understanding of common data-modeling concepts.
- Experience with Git, pull requests, code reviews, and team-based development workflows.
- Experience writing automated unit and integration tests.
- Basic understanding of cloud-hosted applications, deployment pipelines, containers, and application environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot defects using logs, browser development tools, API clients, and database queries.
- Understanding of fundamental software design principles and common web-application security concerns.
