Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain frontend features, backend services, APIs, data integrations, business logic, database interactions, and background processes.
- Implement product requirements and UX designs using established architectural and coding patterns.
- Build reusable, responsive, and accessible user-interface components.
- Create and maintain unit, integration, component, and end-to-end tests.
- Participate in technical planning, estimation, refinement, implementation discussions, pull-request reviews, and release validation.
- Identify requirement gaps, technical risks, dependencies, and edge cases during development.
- Troubleshoot defects and production issues using logs, monitoring, browser tools, API clients, and database queries.
- Maintain technical documentation for delivered capabilities.
- Work with QA to validate acceptance criteria and improve test coverage.
- Collaborate with DevOps on deployment, environment, and operational issues.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools for development, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting while validating generated output.
- Participate in production support activities.
Requirements
- Approximately 3 to 6 years of professional software development experience.
- Professional experience building production web applications.
- Proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience with React or another modern component-based frontend framework.
- Understanding of component design, state management, API integration, responsive layouts, and frontend testing.
- Backend development experience using Node.js, Python, Java, C#, or a comparable technology.
- Experience building or consuming REST APIs.
- Experience with relational databases and writing SQL queries.
- Understanding of common data-modeling concepts.
- Experience with Git, pull requests, code reviews, and team-based development workflows.
- Experience writing automated unit and integration tests.
- Basic understanding of cloud-hosted applications, deployment pipelines, containers, and application environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot defects using logs, browser development tools, API clients, and database queries.
- Understanding of fundamental software design principles and common web-application security concerns.
- Experience with AWS or another major cloud provider is preferred.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, automated browser testing frameworks, event-driven systems, background jobs, message queues, asynchronous processing, third-party integrations, media or creative tooling, AI APIs, prompt-based applications, AI-assisted development tools, multi-tenant SaaS platforms, or Agile product-development environments is preferred.
