Sr. Software Engineer
AlertMediaResponsibilities
- Design and develop features for the AlertMedia product suite.
- Work across Python, Elixir, JavaScript, Next.js, React, and other web technologies.
- Use AI-enabled tools such as Claude and Codex for development, problem-solving, documentation, and productivity.
- Collaborate with engineering, product teams, principal engineers, and leadership on architectural evolution.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
- Work in an Agile-based environment using Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Slack.
- Contribute innovative ideas to the product line and support AlertMedia’s technology leadership.
- Manage multiple projects and communicate effectively across functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- 6–8 years of experience building scalable web applications is required.
- Experience with Python, Elixir, Django, and JavaScript is preferred.
- Experience with Linux-based containers and tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services or other cloud services is required.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and other storage technologies is required.
- Established practice writing unit and integration tests.
- Active use of AI tools and modern developer platforms to improve engineering quality, velocity, and collaboration.
- Strong organizational, communication, collaboration, and English-language skills.
- Legal authorization to work in Mexico without current or future sponsorship.
