Responsibilities
- Design and develop features for the AlertMedia product suite.
- Build and support scalable production web applications across the full stack.
- Work with Python, Elixir, JavaScript, Next.js, React, and other web technologies.
- Use Claude, Codex, and other AI-enabled tools for development, problem-solving, documentation, and productivity.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, principal engineering, and leadership teams to drive architectural evolution.
- Use Git, JIRA, Jenkins, Slack, and other tools in an Agile-based environment.
- Contribute innovative ideas and support AlertMedia’s product technology, culture, and vision.
- Communicate effectively and work cross-functionally on multiple projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science or computer engineering is preferred.
- 6–8 years of experience building scalable web applications.
- Experience with Python, Elixir, Django, and JavaScript-based web development is preferred.
- Experience with Linux-based containers and tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Required experience with Amazon Web Services or other cloud services.
- Required experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and other storage technologies.
- Established practice writing unit and integration tests.
- Active use of AI tools and modern developer platforms to improve engineering quality, velocity, and collaboration.
- Ability to collaborate with principal engineers and leadership on architectural evolution.
- Strong organizational, communication, English-language, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
