Base Salary
$100k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
- Automate provisioning, managed services, and internal tooling with Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Design secure AWS network environments using VPCs, NAT gateways, IP gateways, and network segmentation.
- Operate and performance-tune Kubernetes environments, including EKS, ECS, and Fargate.
- Manage Docker and Docker Compose workloads across a microservices architecture.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and maintain uptime, availability, performance, and reliability.
- Develop and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines and implement Argo CD GitOps delivery workflows.
- Analyze and reduce AWS infrastructure costs and maintenance burden.
- Perform systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, cost analysis, and complex issue resolution.
- Drive technical direction, decompose sprint priorities, generate tickets, and manage team tasking and sprint workloads.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and program stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, or equivalent combined education and experience; alternatives include 12 or more years of professional experience or 10 years with a related master's degree.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph, active before starting.
- CI Polygraph completed within the last 7 years and active before starting.
- Current DoD 8140 (CWIP) certification, active before starting.
- Extensive experience architecting and managing AWS infrastructure with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, Fargate, Docker, and Docker Compose.
- Experience developing and managing GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Argo CD workflows.
- Proficiency with Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Experience with systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and cost analysis.
- Experience managing sprint workloads and driving technical direction in an Agile environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and program stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications include depth in specified AWS services and networking, application performance and reliability optimization, infrastructure troubleshooting, Kubernetes operations, and cloud cost optimization.
