Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance and reliable Android applications.
- Collaborate with backend and design teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Conduct code reviews and implement codebase performance optimizations.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues.
- Stay current with Android development trends, tools, and technologies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to deliver software solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Five years of experience developing and deploying Android applications.
- Strong knowledge of Kotlin and a passion for native development.
- Knowledge of modern Android frameworks and async/await.
- Experience working with authentication frameworks such as OAuth2 to connect Android applications to backend services.
- Understanding of Android design principles and Human Interface Guidelines.
- Experience writing unit and UI tests using Mockito and other tools.
- In-depth experience with a map SDK such as MapLibre, Apple Maps, Google Maps, ESRI, or similar.
- MapLibre knowledge is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, with eagerness to learn and adapt.
