Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full-stack tools and technologies.
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers working on distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Build and improve local and established build and deployment pipelines and troubleshoot complex pipeline issues.
- Debug issues across backend, frontend, middleware, infrastructure, databases, pipelines, and distributed systems from local development through production.
- Develop features, address non-functional requirements, identify root causes, correct affected data, and provide technical direction to engineers.
- Mentor engineers and teach architecture and design patterns, including when and how to apply them.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- At least 11 years of experience building back-end services; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with Golang or GraphQL.
- At least 3 years of experience with a database technology such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, or DynamoDB; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 4 years of experience designing, building, and testing distributed systems; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role overseeing strategic projects.
- Preferred: 4+ years with Agile or Kanban software development methodologies.
- Preferred: 4+ years with a cloud computing provider such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Preferred: 6+ years implementing functional, unit, integrated, or automated tests to support continuous integration and continuous deployment.
- Preferred: 4+ years with a server-side application framework such as Django, Express, or Spring.
- Preferred: 6+ years designing, building, and delivering large-scale systems.
