Base Salary
$137k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, design systems, estimate work, identify risks, and deliver mobile product components.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support secure, scalable, resilient, and high-performing native Android and iOS applications.
- Build and maintain mobile SDKs, reusable libraries, developer-facing APIs, platform capabilities, technical documentation, sample applications, and integration guides.
- Drive mobile architecture decisions, engineering standards, code reviews, coding standards, security requirements, and engineering best practices.
- Optimize mobile performance, responsiveness, memory utilization, battery efficiency, reliability, and customer experience.
- Create testing strategies, identify coverage gaps, troubleshoot complex production issues, and support incident response and on-call rotations.
- Design and maintain automated mobile CI/CD, testing, security validation, deployment, and release-management pipelines.
- Own mobile release activities including SDK versioning, backward compatibility, code signing, app-store publishing, rollout strategies, and production support.
- Use monitoring, observability, analytics, operational metrics, and automation to improve product reliability and engineering productivity.
- Mentor engineers and lead technical initiatives while collaborating with backend, platform, product, security, operations, QA, compliance, and other cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, at least 2 years with an advanced degree, 0 years with a PhD, or at least 8 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in software engineering or a directly related field.
- Experience developing and supporting native mobile applications on Android and/or iOS.
- Preferred experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and driving engineering best practices with or without direct reports.
- Preferred experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable software solutions, enterprise-grade mobile applications, services, and platforms.
- Preferred experience creating test strategies, test plans, quality assurance processes, debugging production issues, code reviews, and enforcing coding and security standards.
- Preferred experience with mobile SDKs, reusable libraries, developer-facing APIs, developer tools, automation, engineering productivity, CI/CD, deployment automation, release engineering, and mobile DevOps.
- Preferred experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Fastlane, Bitrise, CocoaPods, Swift Package Manager, Google Play Console, and App Store Connect.
- Preferred experience in Payments, FinTech, Digital Identity, Authentication, Fraud Prevention, Risk Management, or Cybersecurity.
- Preferred experience using Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar generative AI and AI-assisted development tools.
