MDM Developer (nodeJS)
BitdefenderResponsibilities
- Architect and maintain Android Management API integrations for device policies, applications, network profiles, compliance rules, enrollment, and provisioning.
- Deploy, scale, and integrate NanoMDM as the Apple MDM protocol gateway and manage APNs-based command delivery.
- Implement Apple MDM command sequences, Apple Automated Device Enrollment/DEP, Volume Purchase Program workflows, and preparation for Declarative Device Management migration.
- Design and maintain scalable Node.js/TypeScript backend APIs with concurrency patterns, service layers, and schema validation.
- Build PKI and certificate infrastructure using SCEP, EST, mTLS, and X.509 certificate lifecycle management.
- Design PostgreSQL schemas for device inventory, telemetry, policy diffing, and audit logging.
- Monitor backend availability, APNs throughput, Pub/Sub queues, and error rates using observability tools.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional production experience in backend software engineering with Node.js, preferably TypeScript.
- Demonstrated experience with Android Management API or Android Enterprise SDKs.
- Practical understanding of Apple MDM Protocol check-in, command-and-report cycles, APNs push mechanics, and configuration profiles.
- Strong knowledge of TLS, mTLS, SCEP/EST, and X.509 certificate issuance, renewal, and revocation.
- Proficiency in relational database design with PostgreSQL and caching or queueing systems such as Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Google Cloud Pub/Sub.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.
- Familiarity with high-throughput webhook streams and idempotent processing.
- Preferred qualifications include Go experience, Apple ADE/DEP and VPP API experience, Apple DDM knowledge, Knox Mobile Enrollment knowledge, and Android custom DPC extension experience.
