Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain core robotics libraries for frame transformations, targeting, and guidance across Anduril platforms.
- Lead major product features, including Software-in-the-Loop simulators for systems such as Altius.
- Optimize performance of existing products, primarily the Altius drone product line.
- Collaborate with hardware and manufacturing teams throughout the product lifecycle to improve hardware designs.
- Troubleshoot complex issues in remotely deployed systems and ensure field performance.
- Design and implement multi-agent coordination systems for UAVs.
- Participate in software development from concept and design through testing and deployment.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and implement innovations that improve products and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in C++ or Rust and experience in Linux development environments.
- Expertise in data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and code optimization.
- Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
- Ability to collaborate with hardware, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Willingness to relocate to Atlanta, Georgia.
- Preferred qualifications include a relevant master’s or Ph.D., advanced robotics experience, performance optimization, Python, Rust, Go, embedded systems, UAV coordination, real-time operating systems, distributed computing, machine learning, sensor fusion, flight dynamics, robotics simulation, and open-source or publication contributions.
