Base Salary
$225k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end delivery of AI systems from problem framing and data pipelines through model or agent development, integration, deployment, evaluation, monitoring, and iteration.
- Enhance NLP capabilities and computational infrastructure for Suki’s platform serving thousands of doctors.
- Manage and curate large datasets for training and evaluation while ensuring data quality and relevance.
- Build and maintain distributed backend services for ML and AI applications.
- Design and implement evaluation frameworks with automated evaluations, human feedback loops, regression testing, and benchmarks.
- Monitor system performance metrics, identify optimization opportunities, and implement improvements.
- Track NLP and generative AI advances and incorporate relevant innovations into production systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accurate, fast, and cost-effective AI solutions.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of overall software experience, including at least 2 years shipping AI or machine learning systems to production.
- End-to-end ownership of at least one AI system delivered to enterprise production.
- Strong working knowledge of LLMs, prompting, orchestration, RAG, context management, and cost management.
- Hands-on experience building evaluation frameworks for LLM-based systems.
- Experience building and maintaining distributed backend services for ML and AI applications.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including abstractions, algorithms, probability, data structures, and system design.
- Experience training models and selecting or combining LLMs and custom models for accuracy, speed, and cost.
- Preferred experience with agentic workflows, SDKs, and tool calling, including Google Agent SDK, Langgraph, Langfuse, or Langsmith.
- Clear communication and demonstrated ability to build consensus.
