Base Salary
$225k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop NLP, machine learning, and generative AI approaches for Suki’s healthcare products and platform.
- Build and improve computational infrastructure and distributed backend services supporting ML and AI applications.
- Manage and curate large datasets for training and evaluation while ensuring data quality and relevance.
- Monitor and analyze system performance metrics, identify optimization opportunities, and implement improvements.
- Stay current with NLP and generative AI advances and incorporate relevant innovations.
- Own AI systems across problem framing, data pipelines, model or agent development, integration, deployment, evaluation, monitoring, and continuous iteration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve NLP challenges and scale the platform for thousands of doctors.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of overall software experience, including at least 2 years focused on shipping AI or machine learning systems to production.
- End-to-end ownership of at least one AI system delivered to enterprise production, covering problem framing, data pipelines, model or agent development, integration, deployment, evaluation, monitoring, and iteration.
- Strong working knowledge of LLM prompting, orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, context management, and cost management.
- Hands-on experience designing evaluation frameworks for LLM systems, including automated evaluations, human feedback loops, regression testing, and benchmark design.
- Experience building and maintaining distributed backend services for ML and AI applications.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in abstractions, algorithms, probability, data structures, and system design.
- Ability to train models, select appropriate models, and evaluate recall, accuracy, and precision.
- Clear communication, consensus-building, teamwork, adaptability, and demonstrated problem-solving ability.
