$268k - $321k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the data security roadmap covering classification, access controls, encryption, tokenization, and data flow security.
  • Define secure access strategies for humans, services, and AI agents, including least-privilege and brokered access patterns.
  • Design and ship tokenization, field-level protection, column-level security, role-based access controls, and audit visibility.
  • Secure data flows across cloud storage, pipelines, application services, Snowflake, and production databases.
  • Build audit logging and data access monitoring suitable for auditors and regulators.
  • Support data mapping, retention, deletion, and cross-border privacy engineering work for new markets and regulatory regimes.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance to translate data handling requirements into infrastructure.
  • Provide reusable secure-data patterns and threat-model new data flows before deployment.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of security engineering experience with deep hands-on data security experience in encryption, tokenization, access control design, and key management.
  • Strong command of AWS security primitives, including IAM, KMS, S3 security, and VPC controls.
  • Experience securing Snowflake or a comparable data warehouse and relational production databases.
  • Experience designing and shipping access control systems, including row- or column-level security, ABAC/RBAC, and access brokering.
  • Fluency in at least one automation language such as Python, Go, or Ruby.
  • Comfort working in a regulated environment.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or Pulumi.
  • Preferred experience includes securing AI/LLM systems and agentic workloads, fintech tokenization, audit logging and access monitoring, privacy engineering, and consumer financial services.
