Responsibilities
- Deploy ICEYE’s intelligence platform into secure, on-premise, air-gapped, and classified customer environments.
- Build and maintain Docker-based applications and manage deployments in customer Kubernetes clusters.
- Develop APIs and data pipelines integrating ICEYE systems with C4ISR infrastructure and intelligence tools.
- Build RAG systems, AI agents, prompt-engineered interfaces, conversational AI tools, and MCP integrations.
- Create data-fusion pipelines and automated workflows combining SAR imagery with AIS, RF signals, optical imagery, and SIGINT.
- Develop lightweight operational tools, dashboards, and alerting systems for customers.
- Work directly with intelligence analysts, data scientists, and military operators to prototype solutions and gather requirements.
- Conduct customer training and translate feedback into technical requirements for product and engineering teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on software engineering experience building and deploying production systems.
- Strong Python skills plus one of Go, TypeScript, or Rust.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG systems.
- Working knowledge of LangChain, LangGraph, pydantic-ai, agent frameworks, and vector databases.
- Experience with Docker, APIs, data pipelines, and deployments in secure, isolated, or air-gapped environments.
- Familiarity with Linux and basic Kubernetes operations.
- Strong communication and customer-engagement skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong spoken and written English and willingness to travel 40–60% to regional customer sites.
- Must be based in Portugal, be a native-level speaker of the deployment country, and be eligible and able to attain relevant national and NATO security clearances at the highest level.
- Preferred qualifications include defense or intelligence experience, on-premise and air-gapped deployments, geospatial or satellite-imagery experience, MCP or multi-agent systems, deeper Kubernetes, Terraform or Ansible, offline CI/CD, GIS tools, data fusion, and solution engineering or technical consulting experience.
