Base Salary
$95k - $125k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, high-performance cloud-based microservices using AWS and TypeScript or another modern language.
- Build services that communicate through well-defined APIs and apply software design and architectural patterns.
- Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end tests while working toward high test coverage and using test-driven development where applicable.
- Use AI developer tools for context gathering, code generation, test generation, and refactoring while validating generated code for security and correctness.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture and design sessions, Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and product owners to understand requirements and develop solutions.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience designing and developing service-oriented applications in Java, Python, C#, TypeScript, or another modern language.
- Experience designing and building microservice-based systems with high cohesion and loose coupling.
- Experience with comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.
- Experience with relational or NoSQL data stores.
- Expertise in industry-standard software design and architectural patterns.
- Experience working in an Agile environment using Scrum or Kanban.
- Understanding of software security practices, including OAuth, JWT, and encryption.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
- Effective English communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with AWS serverless technologies such as DynamoDB and SQS is preferred but not required.
- Comfort using AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, or Claude in daily engineering workflows.
