Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance strategic applications and services for XVA, cross-asset margin, OTC derivatives, and financial risk management.
- Provide advanced Java application programming expertise and ensure designs follow the overall architecture blueprint.
- Define and improve standards for coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and development workflow.
- Plan and execute smooth production releases while assessing operational risks and redundancies.
- Analyze complex business and system processes and develop comprehensive solutions.
- Coordinate with team members and management to deliver projects according to application development and governance standards.
- Resolve high-impact problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, system processes, and industry standards.
- Support compliance with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and technology controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or an equivalent field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- 7+ years of relevant Java development experience with hands-on coding experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Java, Spring, Kafka, and distributed cache or distributed systems such as Apache Ignite.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases such as Oracle; MongoDB experience is preferred.
- Python experience is preferred.
- Experience with microservices architecture and API-first design using REST, WebSocket, and gRPC.
- Experience building applications on cloud platforms or technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Proven knowledge of design patterns, software development methodologies, application troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
- Strong communication, organization, prioritization, and independent and collaborative working skills.
- UI technology stack knowledge is advantageous.
- Knowledge of margin, CVA, XVA, regulatory stress testing, risk Greeks, VaR, and SIMM, including collaboration with quantitative teams, is preferred.
