Responsibilities

  • Define and drive Wi-Fi MAC firmware and datapath architecture.
  • Design and implement Wi-Fi MAC features for 802.11ax/ac/n platforms.
  • Develop and optimize TX/RX datapaths, packet scheduling, buffer management, and DMA flows.
  • Drive power optimization initiatives involving TWT, U-APSD, DCVS, and sleep-state management.
  • Lead root-cause analysis for connectivity, throughput, latency, coexistence, and power issues.
  • Debug firmware issues caused by MAC hardware configurations.
  • Establish debugging frameworks, performance instrumentation, and engineering best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, cross-functional influence, and mentorship.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of wireless networking and embedded firmware development experience.
  • Strong expertise in Wi-Fi MAC protocols and architecture.
  • Deep understanding of embedded systems, real-time firmware, and networking protocols.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and firmware debugging tools.
  • Experience with performance optimization and power management techniques.
  • Experience with Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), OFDMA, MU-MIMO, Target Wake Time, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi coexistence, wireless certification and interoperability, and hardware/firmware co-design.
  • Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree and 4+ years, a master's degree and 3+ years, or a PhD and 2+ years of related software engineering experience, plus 2+ years using a programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
