Base Salary
$120k - $183k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and test embedded C/C++ software for high-voltage power systems.
- Collaborate with electrical circuit and FPGA designers on hardware/software integration.
- Lead software work across requirements, architecture, implementation, code review, verification, and deployment.
- Develop low-level drivers and firmware for embedded hardware platforms.
- Support hardware bring-up, debugging, and verification activities using laboratory and debugging tools.
- Contribute to software architecture, design reviews, and technical documentation.
- Develop and execute software verification and validation plans, including unit, integration, and automated regression tests.
- Ensure software development adheres to applicable standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of embedded software development experience.
- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems and experience with real-time operating systems.
- Understanding of hardware/software interfaces including SPI, I2C, UART, PCIe, and similar protocols.
- Experience with FPGA interfaces and register-level hardware integration.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG debuggers.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle practices and version control systems such as Git.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
- A master’s degree, aerospace or safety-critical systems experience, custom-hardware firmware development, communications-protocol experience, Python or Bash scripting, and familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and continuous integration are preferred.
