Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality Go and eBPF code for the Tetragon project.
  • Design and implement runtime security detection and enforcement features.
  • Design and optimize Tetragon systems for large-scale operation on Kubernetes and VM platforms.
  • Architect low-overhead infrastructure that converts raw system events into intelligence streams.
  • Collaborate with Cisco teams, including Hypershield and Splunk, on enterprise security integrations.
  • Contribute to open-source projects and represent Cisco Isovalent in community discussions.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of related experience, or a master’s degree plus 6 years, or a PhD plus 3 years.
  • 10+ years of experience in systems programming using Go, C, or similar languages.
  • Experience building system software in Go or similar technologies and/or eBPF.
  • Experience with system-level development, Linux kernel development, distributed systems, or runtime security systems.
  • Preferred experience includes eBPF for observability or security, scalable-system debugging and optimization, Linux and kernel concepts, Kubernetes, cloud-native environments, Splunk or SaaS security and analytics integrations, CVE workflows, vulnerability data pipelines, security event modeling, real-time streaming and aggregation, database performance optimization, and open-source contributions.
  • Experience working across diverse, distributed teams is preferred.
