Responsibilities
- Design secure firmware cores for delivery to engineering teams and support their integration.
- Review design documents, system specifications, and risk profiles to identify vulnerabilities and propose secure solutions.
- Collaborate with solution architects and engineers to meet Design Integrity, security, and accreditation requirements.
- Engage with customers and wider forums to review security topics and balance solutions against programme constraints.
Requirements
- Demonstrated passion for security and problem solving, with enthusiasm for learning and adapting to changing technologies.
- Technical knowledge of secure firmware or embedded software and integration with electronics.
- Knowledge of digital electronics and FPGA design development using AMD, Microsemi, and/or Intel devices.
- Knowledge of firmware simulation and verification tools and scripting with TCL and/or Python.
- Understanding of Isolated Design Flow, encryption, secure boot, and the engineering product development lifecycle.
- Useful additional qualifications include NCSC CAPS experience, Secure by Design knowledge, embedded DevSecOps, safety-critical engineering, DO-178C or DO-254, complex cryptography, and cyber-resilient product development.
