Base Salary
$160k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement and refine entity-level record matching using blocking, candidate generation, pairwise scoring, clustering, and threshold policies.
- Build a reusable matching engine for record linkage, deduplication, and known-entity checks.
- Establish provenance linking every graph node and edge to the source that asserted it.
- Evaluate and explain false-merge versus false-split tradeoffs in matching decisions.
- Own technical execution against the in-house matching design, including reference datasets, candidate retrieval, final matching evaluation, and evidence-based threshold recommendations.
- Document matching logic as an implementation reference for other engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience, including shipping production record matching or entity resolution.
- Strong Python and SQL skills with experience working on large, messy, real-world data.
- Ability to explain matching tradeoffs and defend matching decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
- US citizenship is required.
- An active US Secret clearance is required to start.
- Preferred qualifications include probabilistic matching of inconsistent identity data, familiarity with Fellegi-Sunter models or record-linkage tools, record linkage or master data management experience, production graph data modeling and algorithms, PostgreSQL and pgvector, and an active Top Secret clearance.
