Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend and full-stack features using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and relational databases.
- Modernize legacy Java applications into modern, cloud-ready architectures and support microservices-based designs.
- Design and integrate backend services, RESTful APIs, data models, and API-, file-, and message-based integrations.
- Provide robust backend APIs for Angular and React frontend teams.
- Implement high-performance data processing and integration logic for analytical workflows.
- Apply object-oriented design principles, SOLID, design patterns, and layered or hexagonal architecture.
- Contribute to solution architecture discussions, technical trade-off analysis, and design decisions.
- Ensure code quality through unit testing, mocking, static analysis, performance profiling, memory analysis, and JVM tuning.
- Support production performance, stability, deployment, maintenance, and release quality.
- Collaborate with QA teams, global stakeholders, and Agile/Scrum teams across planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in Java-based software development on global or enterprise projects.
- MCA or bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring/Spring Boot, RESTful API design, SQL, Angular, React, and MongoDB.
- Experience with software design patterns, layered architectures, object-oriented design, clean coding, and performance optimization.
- Experience with unit testing and mocking frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
- Knowledge of Hibernate/JPA, transaction management, microservices, service communication, and integration patterns.
- Familiarity with Azure cloud-native development, Azure Service Bus or similar messaging systems, Azure DevOps, Docker, cloud platforms, and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Experience with product development environments and understanding of product development lifecycle and Lean Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Shipping/logistics workflows or scientific data processing experience is a plus.
