Base Salary
$179k - $263k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build efficient and reliable data transformations for reporting, growth analysis, and multidimensional analysis.
- Design and implement reliable, scalable, robust, and extensible big data systems supporting core products and business operations.
- Perform data analysis, data ingestion, data integration, ETL, schema design, data modeling, and SQL queries.
- Use AI coding assistants to design, implement, and optimize data pipelines and large-scale data processing systems.
- Establish engineering design standards and best practices for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Present architectures and designs to cross-functional teams and explain complex technical decisions.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with big data technologies including Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, Flink, Metastore, Presto, and Kafka.
- Experience performing data analysis, data ingestion, and data integration.
- Experience with ETL and architecting data systems.
- Experience with schema design, data modeling, and SQL queries.
- Hands-on experience with modern AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Windsurf, or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, take ownership of projects, communicate effectively, and teach others.
- Experience with Django and exposure to AWS are preferred.
