Base Salary
$150k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build AI agents with long-horizon work, proactive behavior, resilience, readability, and evidence citation.
- Drive AI user experience and UI improvements through rapid iteration and user feedback.
- Design tool interfaces, context assembly, and decision logic for agent performance.
- Build evaluation harnesses and offline datasets for measuring agent changes.
- Implement streaming, orchestration, and API layers that deliver agent output to Slack and the product in real time.
- Own storage, retrieval, and processing across PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, and S3 for large-scale time-series and topological data.
- Translate agent capabilities into product features that reduce cognitive load for on-call engineers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering experience focused on full-stack or backend systems.
- Hands-on experience building agentic AI systems or LLM-powered products, including tool use, context management, and related failure modes.
- Strong experience with Python and web frameworks such as FastAPI.
- Comfort working in React and TypeScript codebases and shipping features end to end.
- Experience deploying applications on AWS and working with ECS or Kubernetes, Postgres, and S3.
- Ability to lead in fast-paced startup environments with limited resources, shifting priorities, and minimal structure.
- Experience with durable execution or workflow orchestration frameworks such as Temporal is preferred.
- Background in observability, monitoring, incident response tooling, large-scale complex data-driven applications, or LLM evaluation is preferred.
