Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend features and APIs in PHP and Python, including integrations with external services, storage systems, and AI models.
- Use AI assistants to generate, refactor, and document code, critically reviewing their output before approval.
- Define clear task specifications and validate specifications, code, and QA results before review.
- Participate in code reviews and technical decisions focused on clean architecture, performance, scalability, and quality.
- Collaborate with Product and the development team to prioritize and resolve high-impact work.
- Identify root causes of errors, implement fixes, and share learnings with the team.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of backend development experience using PHP and Python in real-world projects.
- Strong knowledge of modern PHP and at least one framework such as Laravel or Symfony.
- Backend, scripting, automation, or data experience with Python and a framework such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and solid knowledge of MySQL query optimization.
- Experience with Git, pull or merge requests, code reviews, automated testing, and well-structured architectures.
- Technical autonomy, responsibility, clear communication in Spanish, and sufficient technical English to read documentation.
- Preferred experience with AI-assisted development, prompts, agents, OpenSpec, customized instructions, ADRs, JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue, React, Docker, AWS, Azure, GCP, RabbitMQ, Redis, external integrations, storage systems, or HR software.
