Base Salary

$79k - $113k/yr

Responsibilities

Review and analyze system and software requirements for testability.
Develop detailed test plans and procedures with minimal guidance.
Create, execute, and maintain test cases with complete requirements traceability.
Perform hardware/software system and integration testing.
Design, develop, and maintain test automation solutions.
Test and debug software, firmware, and hardware-based systems.
Document test results and produce clear, comprehensive reports.
Assist with laboratory equipment setup, tracking, organization, and maintenance.
Communicate effectively with peers, developers, and stakeholders.
Contribute to continuous improvement of software test processes.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in software testing, embedded systems, or a related field.
In-depth understanding of electronic control systems, microcontrollers, and hardware/software integration.
Hands-on experience testing and debugging software, firmware, and hardware-based systems.
Experience developing programmatic test solutions or automation using Python, C, and/or C++.
Experience with Microsoft Windows and Linux.
Experience with application lifecycle management tools supporting requirements traceability, test case development, and workflow management, such as IBM ELM.
Understanding of Agile development methodologies such as Scrum in an embedded systems environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
Experience with geographically distributed teams and exposure to or interest in the rail and transportation industry are desired.

Base pay range of $79100-$112800.
