Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test C++ computer applications on Microsoft .NET and Windows-based systems.
- Use Microsoft Visual Studio development tools to build computer systems-level and network distribution software.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy automated baggage handling applications for airport and airline customers.
- Support software requirements analysis and author and review operational specifications.
- Collaborate with project team members and other technical departments on product development.
- Assist with internal and external product and project documentation.
- Meet project timelines and help keep projects on schedule and within budget.
- Travel to customer sites for commissioning and on-site engineering tasks.
- Provide occasional extended-hours, weekend, holiday, and off-shift support for customer commissioning efforts.
Requirements
- Up to 10 years of extensive C++/.NET development experience is listed as a preferred/basic qualification.
- A BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical degree, or equivalent relevant work experience, is required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio and Windows Server is required or preferred.
- Microsoft .NET and database certifications are strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of current Microsoft Office products is required or preferred.
- Industrial automation experience with PLC or OPC is a plus.
- Ability to travel to customer sites throughout the country for commissioning and on-site engineering work.
- Ability to work occasional extended hours, weekends, holidays, and off-shift schedules.
- Strong time management, coordination, service orientation, critical thinking, judgment, monitoring, communication, information ordering, and problem-recognition skills are expected.
