Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver a modern, flexible, scalable, high-throughput, and low-latency network architecture.
- Implement RF beam and optical link planning and other software-defined networking technologies.
- Develop highly available software for networking control-plane operations on physical and virtual nodes.
- Define and automate software development, implementation, testing, and maintenance processes.
- Provide operational excellence for control-plane services, including operational tooling and process refinement.
- Build and operate the network control plane for Amazon Leo’s satellite and terrestrial broadband network.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 3+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- 3+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- 3+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- 3+ years of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development life-cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or person granted asylum due to export-control requirements.
