Responsibilities
- Build, operate, maintain, and improve the core capabilities and components of the Engineering Platform.
- Design automation, tooling, and self-service mechanisms that help product teams deliver faster.
- Manage Kubernetes clusters and contribute to platform automation, tooling, CI/CD, and observability systems.
- Own platform services end to end, including maintenance, updates, documentation, security, performance, and reliability.
- Provide technical support and consultancy to product teams and incorporate customer feedback into the platform roadmap.
- Participate in architecture discussions, user research, technical knowledge sharing, and major platform initiatives.
Requirements
- Experience operating, automating, and maintaining cloud infrastructure in AWS or GCP, including system architecture and design.
- Expertise in at least one of storage, routing, cloud networking, organization policy definition and automation, or IAM.
- Programming experience with Golang, Python, JVM-based languages, or similar modern languages.
- Experience with automation patterns, version control, Kubernetes deployments, and writing Kubernetes operators or controllers.
- Experience taking projects from design through production and working in multidisciplinary software delivery teams.
- Preferred experience writing Kubernetes API integrations, operators, controllers, or add-ons; building applications with Go; and building APIs for human and machine consumption.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Kubernetes, Kubevela, GKE, EKS, Grafana LGTM, Sentry, OpenTelemetry, Concourse, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Ansible, Postgres, and Mongo.
