Responsibilities

Own end-to-end solution delivery across discovery and delivery tracks, including prototyping, design, implementation, delivery sign-off, and post-release support.
Develop critical features, working prototypes, integrations, reference implementations, and other complex software components.
Lead client-facing technical engagements by facilitating workshops, presenting solutions, making trade-off decisions, securing approvals, and serving as a platform subject-matter expert.
Produce technical designs and artifacts including ADRs, interface contracts, data models, sequencing diagrams, migration and rollback plans, and traceability matrices.
Translate discovery results into delivery backlog items and ensure design intent, code quality, and non-functional requirements are preserved.
Apply AI-assisted and agentic workflows for design, coding, test generation, documentation, specification drafting, and automated validation.
Establish and reinforce engineering standards, reusable integration patterns, security, scalability, observability, and other non-functional requirements.
Mentor and upskill engineers through pair programming, code reviews, example-driven leadership, and guidance on AI-assisted development and platform practices.
Contribute to platform strategy, reusable assets, API-first designs, risk analysis, and mitigation of compatibility, data integrity, and compliance risks.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
8 to 10 years of professional software development experience with current, daily hands-on coding and prototyping.
At least 5 years of experience building cloud-native, microservices, or event-driven systems using Azure or equivalent cloud platforms.
Strong proficiency with technology stacks such as Java/Spring Boot, TypeScript, and React or Vue.
Experience owning end-to-end solution delivery for medium-to-large projects, including design, implementation, and post-release operational accountability.
Strong experience with REST/OpenAPI, messaging platforms, and relational and non-relational databases.
Hands-on proficiency with containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, deployment tooling, automated testing, and AI/agentic workflows.
Practical experience using generative AI and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor, with measurable delivery impact.
Excellent stakeholder communication skills and the ability to facilitate workshops, present technical solutions, and collaborate across business and engineering teams.
Proven leadership in mentoring engineers, conducting thorough code reviews, and championing engineering best practices.
Strong retail platform domain knowledge, including POS systems and store operations.
