Responsibilities
- Lead FCC architecture and technology strategies in alignment with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives.
- Design, assess, and maintain complex technology solutions integrating internal systems and external vendor platforms.
- Create and maintain architecture blueprints, standards, specifications, and solution designs.
- Provide architectural guidance to senior business and technology leaders, including communication of dependencies, constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, delivery teams, vendors, and Architecture Review Boards to gain alignment and approval for solution approaches.
- Incorporate architectural considerations, dependencies, and constraints into product, project, and delivery plans.
- Manage architectural risks, contribute to issue resolution, and remain accountable for architecture-related initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards, policies, corporate strategies, implementation requirements, and data governance.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of IT experience, including more than 5 years of experience as an architect within a formal architecture practice.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of architecture frameworks including TOGAF and Zachman.
- Knowledge of UML or other standard modeling frameworks.
- Foundational knowledge of object-oriented design, service-oriented architecture, microservices, JEE, cloud, n-tier architectures, databases, APIs, event-oriented architecture, enterprise integration patterns, and infrastructure.
- Knowledge of security architecture, including identity and access management, encryption, network security, and single sign-on.
- Technical expertise with traditional and single-page applications, JavaScript, JEE, Spring, Oracle, AWS, BPM, API Gateway, content management, MQ, and cloud technologies.
- Experience working on projects that interface with Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise Security functions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and broad, deep knowledge across multiple subject areas.
- Preferred qualifications include brokerage systems and legacy-system integration experience, experience as a Solution Designer, Application Architect, Solution Architect, Data Architect, or Enterprise Architect, and TOGAF certification.
- Current work authorization for Canada is required.
