Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designers and architects to understand functional IP blocks and their use cases.
- Implement BSPs and perform software bring-up on pre- and post-silicon platforms.
- Develop Linux device drivers and user-space tests for exercising and validating complex SoC subsystems.
- Debug and root-cause hardware and software issues, including kernel-space problems.
- Validate GPUs and other systems using graphics, compute, stress, and conformance workloads.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience with embedded Linux kernel development.
- Experience programming in C.
- Preferred: experience with ARM architecture and the Linux graphics stack, including Mesa, Vulkan, OpenGL, and GPU compute.
- Preferred: experience validating GPUs with graphics and compute workloads, stress tests, or conformance suites such as Vulkan CTS and igt-gpu-tools.
- Preferred: knowledge of Linux kernel internals, networking or storage subsystem architecture, and kernel-space debugging.
- Preferred: device driver development for USB, networking, graphics, video, storage, or power management.
- Preferred: experience with user-space system validation, user-space APIs, and porting or maintaining a Linux distribution for a platform.
