Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship production-grade machine learning systems for content safety.
- Own and lead key technical initiatives in detection, classification, and policy evaluation.
- Develop and maintain ML models for content moderation, including multimodal and LLM-based systems.
- Build robust evaluation frameworks with standardized datasets and continuous improvement loops.
- Drive experimentation to enhance model performance, reliability, and fairness.
- Collaborate with Trust & Safety, Legal, and Public Affairs teams on policy needs.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers within the team.
- Represent technical decisions in stakeholder discussions and influence product direction.
Requirements
- Solid experience in building and deploying machine learning systems in production.
- Proficient in training, evaluating, and maintaining ML models using frameworks like PyTorch.
- Deep understanding of machine learning evaluation, dataset design, and metrics.
- Ability to design systems balancing performance, reliability, and real-world impact.
- Commitment to building safe, responsible, and user-centric ML systems.
- Comfortable working across disciplines with legal, policy, and product stakeholders.
- Experience leading technical projects and influencing team direction.
- Familiarity with distributed systems or backend technologies such as Scala.
