Base Salary
$200k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and lead execution of a multi-year technical roadmap for KDE Storage services.
- Co-own, design, and scale a high-performance, data-intensive platform storage layer.
- Improve KDE Storage query speeds and solve high-visibility engineering problems.
- Establish platform-wide storage standards in collaboration with engineering, support, and sales teams.
- Collaborate with customer service, product, and engineering teams on network observability and intelligence features.
Requirements
- 7+ years of backend development experience using Go, C, or Rust.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and high-throughput data pipelines.
- Experience with time-series databases, especially storage layers, is a plus.
- Experience with object storage or distributed filesystems.
- Experience designing Hot/Warm/Cold tiered storage strategies and TTL-based data eviction at scale.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work independently in a remote-friendly culture.
