Responsibilities
- Collaboratively develop product features and engineering capabilities for the squad’s web applications.
- Participate in all stages of development, from requirements discussions through cloud deployment.
- Join the on-call rota to support highly available products.
- Provide tools that enable data-driven decision-making.
- Support and mentor more junior engineers.
- Collaborate with engineers across squads on technology, patterns, and engineering approaches.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience applying design and implementation best practices to user-friendly, maintainable web applications.
- Experience with Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and web application frameworks.
- Experience with browser testing tools such as BrowserStack.
- Experience with Test Driven Development and a quality-focused, test-first engineering approach.
- Experience provisioning infrastructure in AWS.
- Ability to collaborate across squads and drive continuous improvement.
- Preferred experience includes setting up CI/CD pipelines and using Terraform.
- Preferred experience includes Redux, Scully, Cypress, or Nest.js.
- Payments industry exposure, particularly Cards and other payment schemes, and familiarity with PCI-DSS are bonuses.
