Base Salary

$114k - $213k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead Ground Entry Point services integration and manage Interface Control Documents.
  • Serve as the primary technical interface with commercial Ground Entry Point and ground station providers.
  • Design, integrate, and operate end-to-end ground systems supporting mission operations, ground communications, secure data flows, automated contact scheduling, and data routing.
  • Implement and maintain secure data exchange solutions, including encryption, IPsec, and cross-domain or data-diode integrations.
  • Apply CCSDS, SLE, TCP/IP, and Ka-/S-band standards to ground system and network designs.
  • Use mission operations tools, network planning utilities, and orchestration software to support ground operations.
  • Lead interface verification and test campaigns and ICD update cycles.
  • Resolve complex technical issues, prepare technical charts, present data, and make recommendations to internal teams, leadership, and external customers.
  • Manage tasking and mentor team members across concurrent program schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience, or a master’s degree with 3+ years, or a Ph.D. with 1+ year for Level 3.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience, or a master’s degree with 6+ years, or a Ph.D. with 4+ years for Level 4.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.
  • Experience with ground system interfaces and integration, preferably involving Ground Entry Points, TT&C, SATCOM, or other ground communications assets.
  • Experience developing, interpreting, or maintaining Interface Control Documents.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, data formats, and ground communications architectures.
  • Experience coordinating technical requirements and issue resolution with external service providers or vendors.
  • Preferred qualifications include an active Secret clearance, commercial GEP or ground station integration experience, automated contact scheduling and data-routing experience, secure data-exchange experience, knowledge of CCSDS/SLE/TCP/IP and Ka-/S-band communications, and experience with mission operations tools, network planning, orchestration software, ICD update cycles, technical interchange meetings, and interface verification campaigns.
