Base Salary
$170k - $181k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and enhance scalable enterprise applications and microservices.
- Design and build APIs and support API-driven solutions for the Thematic Investing platform.
- Collaborate with architects, product teams, business partners, and fellow engineers on technical decisions.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Mentor less experienced developers and contribute to improved development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of professional Java software development experience.
- At least 8 years of experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying enterprise applications.
- Strong experience with Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and RESTful web services.
- Extensive experience building APIs and developing microservices architectures.
- Experience with Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL and object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with trading platforms or high-volume, high-availability systems, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, software architecture, and application performance optimization.
